Write Errors

The following errors might occur writing to the target medium (CD/DVD or ISO file):

Error Text Comment/Description and Remedy
Ok successful completion; never displayed as an error
General failure (unspecified) the error cause is unknown; retry the operation
Invalid or unknown target device displayed before image creation (during target device selection); select a different target device
Unexpected call internal error; should never be displayed; contact support@rsj.de
Device or medium is full the hard disk where the target file(s) are created is full; restrat the backup after freeing some space or select a different target drive
Target device is locked (by another process) the target device cannot be accessed because it is exclusively opened by another application (hex editor, CD burning applicatpion, partitioner, etc.); close the application and retry
Target device is not ready there is no medium in the drive or the drive is defect; insert an empty medium or select a different target drive
Access to target device was denied the operating system denied write access to the target device; make sure that the logged on user is allowed write access. This is not always the case, even for members of the administrator group.
Device or file not found Target device does not exist; select a different device
The file already exists. Should not be displayed during backup creation; if so, try a dufferent target file name
Unfortunately, the backup medium could not be successfully verified. Please restart the backup operation from scratch. Most certainly a media or hardware error. Retry the operation. If the problem persists, try a different target device

Error message: 'A write error occurred: *N/A*(806) when writing to DVD what does it mean?
