To restore the image insert your first Backup-CD/DVD into the CD/DVD drive and boot from that CD/DVD. You possibly have to change the boot sequence in the BIOS. You have to change it in that way that the system tries to start from CD first. Newer systems don't require these manual changes.

The following dialogue appears:

Select the partition you want to restore and press "Return".

If there is not shown a partition or if the partition does not have a sufficient size press F6 or F7 to restore the partition table of the saved hard disk. If you use a new hard disk (a replacement hard disk) which is larger than the saved hard disk a part of the hard disk will not be used. You can change this by using corresponding software (free of charge: [GParted|http://gparted.sourceforge.net]).
